1 Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using LifeDoc ("the Service," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service. By creating an account or using any part of the Service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2 Description of Service

LifeDoc is an AI-powered document analysis platform that helps users understand the content of personal documents including but not limited to leases, insurance policies, employment contracts, medical bills, and warranty agreements.

The Service provides:

• Plain-English summaries of uploaded documents
• Identification of potentially significant clauses and provisions
• Tracking of dates and deadlines mentioned in documents
• A conversational interface to ask questions about document content
• A personal dashboard for managing analyzed documents

3 Accounts & Registration

To access certain features of the Service, you may be required to create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information as necessary.

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, provide false information, or engage in prohibited activities.

4 Subscriptions & Billing

Free Tier: LifeDoc offers a free plan that allows up to 2 document analyses per month. No credit card is required for the free tier.

Pro Subscription: The Pro plan is available for $9.95 per month, billed monthly. Pro subscribers receive unlimited document analyses, full dashboard access, deadline alerts, and the Q&A chat feature.

Billing: Subscriptions are billed automatically on a recurring monthly basis using the payment method you provide. All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.

Cancellation: You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial months.

Price Changes: We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with at least 30 days' written notice. Continued use of the Service after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

5 Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Upload documents belonging to others without their consent
• Attempt to reverse engineer or extract the underlying AI models
• Use the Service for any illegal or fraudulent purpose
• Transmit malware, viruses, or other harmful code
• Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Service
• Circumvent any usage limits or access controls
• Resell or sublicense access to the Service without written authorization
• Harass, abuse, or harm any other user or our staff

We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate legal action against anyone who, in our sole discretion, violates this provision.

6 Disclaimer — Not Legal Advice

The AI-generated analysis may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. Documents are complex and context-dependent. Legal interpretation depends on jurisdiction, individual circumstances, and facts that may not be captured in a document's text alone.

LifeDoc expressly disclaims any liability arising from your reliance on any analysis, summary, or information provided through the Service as a substitute for qualified legal counsel.

7 Intellectual Property

Your Documents: You retain full ownership of all documents you upload to LifeDoc. By uploading a document, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process and analyze that document solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

Our Service: The LifeDoc platform, including its software, design, branding, and AI models, is owned by LifeDoc and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

Feedback: If you submit feedback or suggestions, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free license to use that feedback to improve the Service.

8 Privacy

Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in our Privacy Policy.

We take document security seriously. Documents you upload are encrypted and processed solely to provide you with the Service. We do not sell your documents or their contents to third parties.

9 Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or through your account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. Termination for cause does not entitle you to a refund.

Upon termination, we will delete your account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

10 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, LifeDoc and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, or goodwill — arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you have paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim, or (b) $50 USD.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

11 Disputes & Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

You agree to resolve disputes individually and waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

12 Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by displaying a prominent notice within the Service at least 14 days before the changes take effect.

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of those changes. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you should stop using the Service and close your account.
